It makes me sad how even working just 5 hours a day can be life changing

Normally I’m 40 hours/ 5 days a week. Random two days off each week. Yesterday was a paid holiday (8 hours) but I still have just two days off total. As a result, some of my shifts are shorter but it’s still a total of 40 hours thanks to Mondays 8 hours. Today I’m 3:30-8:30 instead of what would have been 11:30-8:30 Instead of already being at work right now, I still have a few hours before I even have to get ready, compared to getting ready at 10:30 and out the door by 11. I’ve been cleaning, cooking, and reading all with no rush, and I’ll still be off at 8:30, what would have happened anyway. I’m definitely down to work but it makes me sad how big of a difference today alone has made. Even 40 hours one week, then 25 hours the next would be amazing. Instead…

Not sure what I’m going to do next/right now since I’m not used to being home at this time, but man it’s nice
