I was newly promoted into a management role and invited to an all managers seminar for the company I was working for.
The Owner/CEO begins by encouraging all the managers from different locations to, “buy more pizza, because employees will be willing to work for MUCH much less if they're happy”(And apparently pizza makes people happy?)
The owner then goes on to say, “It's not hard to become a manager here”(Keep in mind I busted my ass for years to get into management).. And he then says how lucky we all are to have our positions!
Huh? 🤔
I quit shortly after the seminar, but before doing so I got hired on at the competition for a substantial raise, and leaked my notes from the seminar to some top producers who were more than happy to follow me.
This was a few years back, and company went out of business last year. 🤣
