I interviewed at this place. i thought the interview didnt go well so i forgot about it and then 2 months later heard from them that they want to meet me for a second. so i thought ok, lets give it a shot. in the second interview i spoke with the team lead and the this HR lady for 30 mins. they both said they really liked me, see me as a great fit to the company and team and that they will get back to me within the week. they were honest that there was another candidate in the running. it took them a month to get back to me, only to let me know that i didnt get the job cus they choose to go with someone else that had more relevant experience. i thought it was a bummer, but oh well. i moved on with my life.
then they reached out to me that there has been a misunderstanding and that they want me to speak with another team member. i kinda wanted to give up but i thought fuck it ill speak to that person too. we chatted i made a positive impression but he said he is also speaking with the other candidate. it made no sense, cus how do you choose someone and still interview the other candidate? so i assumed that they probs did choose someone but the other person fell through. then he said i would hear back in a week. i got a call where they said they wanted to offer me a job. i was happy, and we discussed salary expectations bla bla. they said they will send me something in writing but i have not heard from them in a week. what the fuck is this nonsense?
like what kind of unorganized nonsense is this. i try to keep my skin thick and not get affected, but its annoying cus ive gotten my hopes up a few times now and these delayed responses arent really giving me any assurance. any reason why it could take an HR department more than a week to send an offer in writing?
