So, for anyone interested, I went back into work today, only to be met by the store owner, who pulled me into the back and immediately said “I saw you made me internet famous, at this point I'm suspending you for a week without pay while I figure out what to do with you, as I don't know if I'm firing you yet” I tried to retort once or twice before I realized what I was doing, told him “if that's your decision” and left. I'm pretty sure this qualifies as retaliatory? he's done the same sort of thing years before when I was one of his managers. Do I have any rights here? Should I be talking to a lawyer? Please, if anyone knows where to start, please point me in the right direction.
