Today is the third consecutive day where there has been no work for me to do upon arriving to my department. The first day, I made some work to help stage parts, the second day I did a bunch of cleaning and organizing. Today is day three and I no longer feel like I should even pretend like I'm keeping busy.
The company recently instated a policy which requires all employees to maintain 40 hours a week to recieve health insurance, and I have a wedding trip to pay for in a few weeks so leaving early isn't an option.
My machine will stay off and I will remain sitting at my workbench watching One Piece until I get my 8 hours in today. Kinda feels like a waste of my time if I'm honest. AMA job related or One Piece related but no spoilers, I just got through Alabasta.
TL;DR Poor workflow management means I'm getting paid to watch anime.
