Jackson’s Star in Alien Romulus is basically what Elon Musk wants to turn Mars into: one planet-sized company town where your life is owned by an unfeeling, sociopathic corporation.

I watched Romulus 3 weeks ago and it occurred to me that Elon unironically wants to do exactly what Weyland-Yutani did: terraform alien planets to exploit their resources with human beings as the living tools. It's mentioned a few times in the film that worker mortality is so high because the company will leave your ass to die if it's cost-effective.
