I work at a law firm doing Personal Injury work. I've been working here for almost 2 years. I was hired with 0 experience so they could train me how they wanted – I make $19 an hour.
About a month ago one of the attorneys pulled me in and said almost word for word “we aren't taking away any work from you, you're just going to be getting more” and told me to “wait 6 months and see how it goes” when I asked for more compensation for said more work.
I've been applying ever since. Almost 200 jobs at this point and I've either been ghosted or gotten scam jobs. I'm feeling really defeated.
