Job interview culture is the worst.

Venting because I have to find a new job. And I’m so sick of it. I have roughly 6 years experience in my field. And my degree. It’s pretty straight forward when it comes to job hunting, my experience matches so I’m a great candidate. But no. No. Interviews are literally personality contests. And the culture of them needs to die. Why do I have on ridiculous business professional clothes and the person interviewing me has on a tshirt? And Jesus the questionssss “What made you apply to this job?” Because I need money to survive? “Why do you want to work here?” I literally don’t. But no. No. Interviews are literally personality contests. And the culture of them needs to die.

Why do I have on ridiculous business professional clothes and the person interviewing me has on a tshirt?

And Jesus the questionssss

“What made you apply to this job?” Because I need money to survive?

“Why do you want to work here?” I literally don’t. But generational wealth wasn’t something my ancestors were smart enough to do so here we are.

“Tell me about a time you didn’t like a part of your job?” Every. Fucking. Day. I hate the whole job actually. But, alas, the bills must be paid.

Interviews are just character rehearsals. How well can a candidate give rehearsed answers to the same questions. They’re not any type of indicator of the worker you are.

I hate it all.
