My husband is an Assembly Technician and he was being promoted to a Test Technician. They dragged his promotion out for a year then, when it was finally happening, they dragged their feet on discussing his pay. Going rate in our area would have him get a $3-4/hour pay raise. Today was his first day in the new position, and they finally discussed pay with him. He would get a raise, sure, but it wouldn’t happen for 9 months because – get this – “they only do pay adjustments once per year” and he would have to wait until February 2023 to get his raise.
He declined and went back to his old position. He is going to look for another job. He currently has offers paying twice what he makes now. What a racket!
