Posting this here because I saw a similar post. I should probably post elsewhere though. Anyway, this has happened three times in two weeks. I get the interview, the 'I'm sure we'll be hiring you”/”We're hiring you, we just have to do a backgroundcheck/other formalities” speech, and then as soon as that steps done, I get an email turning me down. Twice seemed like bad luck, but three times is weird. I have no criminal history. I had a dui a long time ago that I'm pretty sure has been sealed and regardless, it hasn't stopped me in the last 8 years. I guess I'll gonna call the last place that turned me down and ask why, or like request a copy of the background check if thats allowed? I think its such bullshit we can't freely search our own backgrounds to see what these people are seeing. Like maybe my info is mixed up with some sex offender with the same name or some shit. Its just bizarre to me and making me really, really angry. Its not like these jobs are great either. Literal loser jobs at random stores. Places anyone can get in. I see them hiring people all the time and advertising it.
