The place I work runs a 9/80 schedule. So every other Friday, we work 8 hours l, applying 4 to the current weeks time card and 4 to the next weeks time card.
I have been here a few years and always assumed it just meant you have to have carry 4 hours over into the next week (since it only has 4 days) to get it to 40 hours and it didn't matter when they were worked. For example, if I had a busy week with a working Friday and ended up doing 11 hours days, I could just toss the 4 extra hours onto next week's card and flex the working friday off. But this is not the case.
Per policy we can not count any hours to the next week until “mid shift” on Friday. So in my above example, I would put 44 hours on the current week, and still have to 4 more Friday afternoon, couldn't even do them in the morning.
If you work a normal week you can't even come in early so you could leave early per you normal schedule. Any early time has to be put on the current week.
It's totally fucked anti-worker bs.
