Finally found a decent company to work for but didn't realise how much responsibility and much 0 room for error the job involved. The job advert and interview made the job sound so simple and easy but after 3 weeks I don't think I'll ever have the confidence to work without a supervisor or someone to ask for help with something.
There's people here for months up to a year and are still asking the same questions I'm asking so how the hell to they expect me to work alone occasionally on the evenings without a supervisor present?
The other guys work on days so they have that safety net which I won't have so due to this I'm having to learn the job enough to able to work alone doing it and it's not the best pay but the responsibility and the minor errors that can be made which can cause big problems.
I know my family are going to be upset and disappointed like I am..
I did suggest a hybrid shift as I can do 80% of the job myself but the manager ignored that.
I was supposed to just to mornings for a week for training and it's been three weeks and I'm not a morning person so I've lost so much sleep from this.. My hours are supposed to be evening hours.
I was getting a lot better at the job but then I was told I wasn't going fast enough by the manager after hearing the input from the other staff he called into the room before me.
Hope I made the right decision
