Long time reader, first time posting.
In the US- I just saw my job posted on Indeed. For almost $15000 more than I currently make. My boss, last Monday told me that he needed me and that he couldn't do it (my department or job) without me. He also has slated me to manage 4 more departments in different states, with me moving to a different state as well.
I admit I have been looking elsewhere because new state isn't exactly friendly to anyone except cis rich White males, but I hadn't shut the idea down. I was also told that my location would absolutely be closing.
Yet there it is, with the address of the corporate office, where I work, my job “just posted” on indeed. I'm trying to remain calm and not be angry. Change is good and sometimes one needs a helping hend to get out of toxic workplaces, but I am very much so living check to check. The idea of making less, or even not finding work quickly, scares me. I've been without home before. I'm old now, I don't want to do that again.
I appreciate the read if anyone does. These things are so incredibly frustrating and disheartening.
