Well, I've just been laid off immediately after signing a lease on an apartment and an entire month of unemployment isn't even going to cover my rent. Like, I have bipolar disorder. There aren't many opportunities that are conducive to managing it. And now I'm probably going to have an episode because this stressful situation is completely fucking me up.
Anyway, my point is that it should be illegal to layoff a few people. Reduce the plant's operating hours and make a small sacrifice, too. There's no reason a handful of people should be thrown out in the cold so the company can go through a downtown without suffering like everybody fucking else. Fuck, I hate capitalism.
