Lazy “Nice” Co Workers Vs Hardworking Quiet Ones

I work at Starbucks. I am someone who is very hardworking but also quiet/introverted. Don’t get me wrong I do talk to the people that work there and they like me but I also keep to myself and work hard and get things done and keep things stocked. So many of the people I work with are “Nice” but also lazy, horrible workers. One guy today said “ why would I help with close when everyone else does everything for me haha”. I feel like if your a bad/ lazy worker and co worker than your not a good person no matter how nice you are. My issue is these people who are “Nice” and don’t care about working hard or helping out, they are the ones that everyone likes. They’re the ones that everyone laughs with and talks to wherever they go because they’re nice. But I get stressed out working with these people because I’m a hard worker at heart and it’s tough. I wonder if I should just stop being a hard worker and stop giving a shit and just start being nice and laid back.

Also I’m 27 and consider myself to be more of a mature person and most of the people I work with are like 19-23 so they do act less mature. I just wonder if I care too much and maybe I should just stop working hard idk.
