Title is as it says. A few weeks ago it was reported to managers that I have been using my device while out working on the dock. I found this extremely unfair since this is commonly practice among my coworkers yet for some reason I was being singled out… I appealed the write up and it was denied. Since then I started leaving my device in the office. I bring two cellular devices since the website where I do college work isn’t very safari friendly so I bring an android; there’s a little charging station meant for iPhone in the office and next to that is a station where the drivers dock their devices to be charged which uses the USB-C … I still put my android on the dock and not charge it because I don’t want to get another unexpected write up for potentially unplugging a drivers device and using it for my own.
Anyhow today I get called in the office and suspended because it was brought to their attention that I record conversations???! What is going on in the office for me to record ? Red flag there. They had me write a statement saying I don’t record and said I’m suspended until the investigation is finished… no date or nothing just open ended. This is bs to me especially after the fact I wrote an appeal stating how inconsistent they are in enforcing rules and how incompetent they are in communicating with each other… is this normal for this to happen?!
