We all know how f***d the system is. It's not fair for anyone except the wealthy. I see a majority of posts here either talking about how screwed up the system is or the occasional success/quitting story. My question is this: what is your advice on living a fulfilling (anti-work) life within these constraints, and is there any glimmer of hope that things will eventually get better?
Backstory — I've been feeling very bleak that even though I am a grad student going into a field where I can reliably make 100k+, I am restricted to living a life of working constantly just for a vacation or two a year, maybe a house, and enough to retire with at 60 if everything goes well and I do all the “right” things (401K, Roth, invest, etc.).
