I wanted to get peoples opinions on loneliness in the workplace. People are committing all their time to building their careers, they forgo living their lives, I have worked for 3 MNC’S and I have noticed a trend with people who consider themselves “managers” if they are single. They also tend to be more micromanaging
-
in a job interview I actively check my interviewers hands to see if they are married or partnered
-
I have a rule that I won’t accept a job if I know my “manager” is single because of my personal experiences I don’t want them compromising my relationship for their own goals
-
I also ask interviewers if how they find the work life family balance as a question at the end of my interview.
Does anyone here not take a job because you don’t want someone in control of your life not compromising on your family matters?
Thanks
