I have a buddy who cannot get ahead. He has no college degree, but is insanely smart. No matter how many good paying jobs he applies for, working multiple jobs, whatever. He literally cannot make a living wage to maintain a crap apartment and a car that doesn't constantly break down. After being fired for no reason in May, he has struggled to make enough to pay bills. He is about to do voluntary repo on his car, which will limit him even more.
He lives in Kalamazoo, Michigan and just wants a job that pays enough for him to cover bills and a little extra to squirrel away. He is 40, so not some kid. I really believe that he just needs the right opportunity that pays decent money ($20/hr plus), and doesn't wreck his body or soul.
Anyone know of anything like that in SW Michigan?
