So I recently got essentially laid off and I qualify for unemployment payments while I look for another job.
While filling out claim, I mention I was only looking for work on 3rd shift.
Apparently in my state of Maine it is law that I have to be seeking work for any shift. Unaware of this at my time of completing the claim.
I get a call and they basically called to tell me that my my claim denied and yes I could appeal.
Question for yous people is this: if I resubmitted my claim with the open availability could there be legal precedent to look into if I am lying, which I wouldn’t be. Or should I just appeal and say that I have open availability now?
