Magenta Madness

Throw away as I am paranoid a hell and prefer my privacy but I have to tell someone. I work for a certain well-known American cell phone company on the corporate side as a salesman. I love my job, and I'm great at it. I never have issues with coworkers and rarely butt heads with management as they fully trust me and my abilities. The company never made me compromise my morals to make a sale. My coworkers and I pride ourselves on the fact we are encouraged to fix a customer's issue and upsell only as a last resort to fixing a problem.

Fast forward to December and the company decides they want to take over kiosks located in a widely popular wholesale warehouse store that rhymes with Bosco. My DM is having trouble finding workers that want to take over the kiosk and sends out an informational email detailing compensation, hours, etc. When I go to inquire about it he promises myself and another coworker that should we wish to transfer back to original store we can do so at any time. I figured why not and volunteered to transfer as I was interested in seeing how much traffic could be brought in. I would have in no way shape or form have gone if I wasn't able to transfer back. I never got anything in writing but got verbal confirmation in front of coworkers and other managers.

After one week of working at the kiosk every single worker requested to transfer back. We didn't hear anything back for another week, after which I received an email from said DM stating that it was no longer possible as the store we came from is now fully staffed and over budget.

They deny our request for a chair, and removed our relief matts saying they're a “tripping hazard” despite the store providing them for every cashier. I catch my new manager constantly spying on us from afar, even sending his own people to watch us work. When he decides to confront us, he pressures us into saying hi to every single customer by the entrance, help sell things to Bosco's customer's not apart of our company (think TV's, laptops, fridges, things I will never sell at my company) without receiving compensation for said sales, and has brushed off every concern stating he's going through something worse at the moment so what we're dealing with isn't that bad.

We constantly beg to go back to our original store. I've had coworkers cry while at work our injure themselves because of the lack of foot support. I've gone from loving my job and standing by our product, to hating every second that I spend being alive. What's worse is most of the kiosk workers were store managers at some point and when we give them our recommendations and ideas to improve sales they ignore us.

I'm out of options at this point. I want this to go back to the way it was before. I used to love this company but it's very clear to me that despite selling their product longer than anyone in my town, winning sales awards, and beating sales records for my district I'm nothing in their eyes.
