I’m a female resident who won’t in an all male workforce. I just started working with a resident a year above me who a male. He makes me feel very uncomfortable. He gets an aggressive tone. He pretended to kick me this week, making me uncomfortable. He made a comment about how if we got in a fight he would gently put me to sleep with a choke hold. He made a comment about how one of the female attending want to sleep with him. The comment felt like he was bragging about an attending “having a thing for skinny brown guys”. I’m honestly scarred of him. I did send him a text asking him to stop because I’m scared to speak to him in person. Any tips on how to handle this ? I’m a first year medical resident and this is a second year medical resident.
