Hello everyone,
So ive been at this job for over a year and i love my job. Normally, we all get along and I really enjoy what I do.
About 5 months ago they hired this new receptionist. She schedules appointments wrong, is rude to people in person and on the phone, and she won't do small cleaning tasks that we all have to do every week to keep the office looking nice.
It's been annoying but I've just been kind of ignoring it hoping management would say something. A couple weeks ago I corrected her because she was about to over charge someone and since then she has been flipping me off and cussing at me every chance she gets. She was told off for this and I was told to report it to management if it happened again.
She did do it again so I reported it and she got talked to. Since then she has been doing everything in her power to make my job hard. She has admitted to scheduling appointments wrong because, “she thinks it's good for me to have to run around. It builds character”. Now when I try to report her I'm told to nicely correct her.
I guess my question is, for people with more experience, is there anything I can do? Anything short of leaving my job? The market isn't great and outside my co worker I love my job. I have tried going to HR and they just say that it's my mangers problem.
