I’ll try to make this long story as brief as possible. I was hired on a temporary 10 month contract which was to cover a woman who was pregnant. 3 months in to the contract i was promised a permanent position at the end of my contract. I only have 1 month left so I asked to get a copy of the contract that I will be getting so that i can read it and compare it to other jobs I’ve been offered. I hear nothing back so i start applying for jobs elsewhere and somehow they find out. I get a call from the most senior person in my country saying how they heard I’m thinking of leaving and how they want me to stay. I say I will stay only if I can get a permanent contract in writing. I was told that is not possible until next year. They did promise me another 10 months as someone else is pregnant and leaving soon. As of today i saw a job advertised looking for someone to cover the other woman. In short they lied about giving me a permanent contract and then also lied about a contract extension. I’m guessing there isn’t a lot i can do about any of this but if anyone has advice please do let me know
