I've been working at a company for a little over 6 months and excelled fairly well thus far. My old supervisor left and I'm the only one working the store for a while. We're contracted at a store so all the other employees there don't work for us but, from what they see I help their customers fairly well and am always ontop of my job. The manager at the store even said she'd give me a letter of recommendation. Within the past couple of months my district manager went ahead and told me to apply for the supervisor position as he said he thinks I can grow into the position. I was super excited as it would come with a pay raise and it was going to be my first time being supervisor. I let him know I applied immediately he told me he'd have his recruiter call me and no matter what she thought I was gonna be passed through to be interviewed by him. The day of the interview with him comes and he calls me before to let me know it'll be him and a peer of his interviewing me. He proceeds to tell me a couple questions they might ask me. After the interview I thought it went good but, not my greatest interview I've ever had. I call him a bit later to ask and he tells me it went good and that he'll announce it in a couple of days. Couple days come and go I see him again and he lets me know that internals are applying so it's mandatory he interviews them. Fine whatever. Today the new supervisors computer has shown up and I'm fuming. He didn't even have the gall to tell me if he picked me or not just lets the computer show up. I already know for a fact he's supervisor as I looked it up internally. I'm looking for other jobs as we speak right now!
