Burner account but i work at a doctors office. Our long time office/MA manager quit. They didn’t tell us why but we know exactly why – the doctor we work for is awful. The doctor has no respect for both patients and staff, as in we see 60-100 patients in the span of 6-7 hours and each staff member makes very little relative to the work we do. The only reason why they’re still in business is bc we’re in a rural area and they’re the only specialist. I describe the doctor as a businessman and not a doctor bc that’s exactly what they are, they see patients as profit.
Anyways, manager quit and our other manager who I guess is now promoted literally told us they will not be taking on the other managers work bc they don’t want to???? So now, things like inventory and time sheets are being assigned to the medical assistants!! I’m one of the MAs who now have this added responsibility and I told my manager straight up that it isn’t fair that we’re not responsible for this and they replied “we expect you guys to to help out since X left.” They said doctor doesn’t plan to hire a replacement. Awful place, I feel for the patients since they have no other choice. Everyone’s quickly leaving and putting in their notices and I’m trying very hard to find a new job
