basically what the title says. i work at a fast food joint thats been pretty understaffed lately. i’m already looking for a new job but for now im stuck here so its been frustrating.
there is only one manager that works at my location (there are shift supervisors every day but they don’t have the same permissions or duties as her) and she broke her phone a little over a month ago. she said she’d get a new one and in the meantime gave us her sisters number if we needed to talk to her.
the next pay day passed and she still didn’t get a new phone and everyone was pretty frustrated. around that time we had a mini fiasco where a closer didnt show up (no call in, nothing, and we couldn’t get ahold of them on the phone) and since our manager wasn’t here we tried to call her sister’s number to talk to her. straight to voicemail. we ended up having the worst close ever that night. ironically, when she heard what happened she said “why didn’t you guys call me?” and when we explained we did she just brushed it off.
now shes proclaiming that she doesn’t even want to get another phone, and that she hasn’t used social media in forever anyways. i pointed out that she should at least get a cheap burner phone for work calls and texts and she ignored me.
i’ll probably contact the area supervisor about this if it continues but im not hopeful he’ll be of much help. he has an available phone number and email posted but almost never replies to messages or gets mad if you text him. its a nightmare and i cant wait to get out lmao
