started working at a gym a couple months ago. my manager wanted to have a chat with me about “how it’s going.” i feel like none of my coworkers are very friendly or welcoming and one in particular loves to order me around so maybe she’s the one who complained. i received no training and was expected to know everything. it was so embarrassing because my boss basically told me i was doing a bad job and asked me to show more initiative folding linens and vacuuming. she then sent me an email to HER supervisor summarizing the things we talked about with demeaning preschool things like “taking direction, staying in the same zoning route, showing initiative with linen folding and daily tasks” and said they can’t wait to see me grow in the company. i feel so demeaned. and also CHILL, this is a minimum wage job. i’m trying to find a way to work at the branch closer to my apartment. should i just quit and let her struggle to hire someone else?
