I (21f) am a security guard at said special coat factory, and I had a co worker tell me yesterday that he wanted to take my shift, and I’ll take his later this week. I said “sure” because I so happened to have a job interview today. I get a text a few hours later telling me that our store manager had threatened to give us both tardy points if we swapped without using our new system which I have access to but he did not. Excuse me? She can hop on her computer and edit said schedule whenever she likes but when I ask for a swap with a coworker who is the full time and I’m part time, let me also remind you I’m the longest working security guard there I’ve been with them for 2 years now and so has he, so why does she feel the need to threaten us with points when it’s her responsibility to edit the schedule and make sure that we all have access to the new system? I’m definitely calling out as I type this but please someone tell me I’m not crazy for wanting to call corporate because my manager gave me a tardy point because she refused to edit our schedule. It sounds like someone isn’t doing their job and it’s not me. This is exactly why I have new interviews set up already.
