I'm a 17 year old male working at a McDonald's franchisee store in Ontario, Canada. A female manager at our store (late 20s to early 30s) has taken a particular liking to a few of us guys and has started rubbing my arm calling it smooth, staring into my eyes calling them pretty, grabbing my forearm when talking to me and touching various parts of my body, all while at work and clocked in. My particular franchise has a history of ignoring guys' claims of sexual harassment and in the past have told coworkers in similar situations to simply “stop talking about it or you'll be suspended.”
We're going to speak with the franchise directors and owners but don't want this one to get swept under the rug again. If we threaten legal action, are they able to suspend us for some “liability” or “conflict of interest” shit? We need the money and don't have other jobs lined up right away but don't want to wait another month until we're hired elsewhere to complain.
This is completely foreign to me, just looking for advice on how to approach it. All our parents are getting involved but we have entire documents with timestamps of her touching us, saying she loves us, eating food and putting it back in our holding trays, all on camera. Any tips? I don't know if consulting with lawyers costs money but if we could just get her fired before going through all that hassle it would be ideal. Thanks.
