So I'm not sure if this is the right subreddit for this, but think of this as a rant/advice related to the workplace. Also, I am on mobile:
Preface: I have been at my place of employment for almost 2 years. I am considered a higher-up and I train new hires and work directly with our owner, manager and assistant manager. My coworkers and I all respect eachother and get along well (we are all women). Around 2 months ago, we hired a new center manager. Let me list a few things she has done and said:
• she calls us “bitches* and whores jokingly as if she was our friend (NOT!)
• She spanked one of my coworkers' ass “playfully”
• She talked shit to us about our assistant manager saying that she was a whore, slut and sleeps around because she had a cold sore and is newly single (my assistant manager is the sweetest person on the planet!)
• She has said one of my coworkers is on meth and suck dick in the rooms (we work in the spa field)
And the ultimate reason why I am posting this:
I am 8 months sober from alcohol. I left for 2 months earlier this year on Medical Leave to check myself into rehab. This is waaaay before this manager I am speaking of came into the picture. Well, I had to call out ahead of time last Saturday as I was in the process of moving and had to stay in a hotel for 2 days and I let my manager know. When I came back to work Tuesday, my coworkers all asked me if I was ok. I was confused. They then said that the manager all told them that I was drinking in a hotel and relapsed and how I WAS IN REHAB ON MY MEDICAL LEAVE WHICH WAS PRIVATE. I WAS MORTIFIED. I found out too that this upset my coworkers that she would even say this to them and they reported to our owner. I had a meeting with him and he was so angry with her yet apologetic towards me. Well she ended up getting fired and she had the AUDACITY to call my brother (whom years ago was her asst manager at a different workplace) and day that I was drinking and trying to start shit between us (my brother and I live together)
I am SERIOUSLY considering filing a lawsuit against her, even though she is fired. I apologize if I seem all over the place but I am so upset and angry. Feel free to ask me any questions for clarity. Also, my coworkers are the most amazing people ever.
