For context I’m in the army so there are situations that someone can make something mandatory. This farewell dinner is not. However my supervisor is trying to coerce me to go. Even telling me it’s their tradition.
Look here, I want to do my job then get off work. I signed up for a job. Not a summer camp to make friends. If you care so much then make it official. I will not be at the dinner. See you at work Monday morning.
I’m jealous that you guys can just quit. I unfortunately cannot do that without facing the possibility of jail time.
