So I work at a aerospace shop in Cleveland, Ohio, and it's being run by literal morons.
They recently started up a trial run of a four-10 hour work week with Fridays being overtime. Sounds good, I volunteered for it, a lot us did. Problem is, they've made three of the four Fridays mandatory overtime every month since they started. Management also treats that one friday we get no mandatory OT as a “free day” as if we didn't already get 40 hours that week.
Now we have literally no to very little work in my department and in others, but still since last Friday was the “free day” we have to come in tomorrow.
Sure they might send us home early, after like four hours of standing around doing nothing, but more often than not they “find us work” and send us to other departments, do all their work, and now it's almost an entire plant full of people trying to look busy.
Am I going insane and being a selfish asshole or is this fucking a problem?
