So i recently started a new job that I don’t actually hate, it’s a 40 hour 4 day work week, but they’ve scheduled me 3 weeks in row for overtime. Last week it was 4 hours, I did that one because it’s was fine. Then I see that they scheduled me for 8 extra hours of overtime 2 weeks in a row without asking me. I told them I wouldn’t be able to come in those days and they started throwing a fit and saying that overtime was mandatory at this job. I told them no one told me that I only agreed to the 40 hours. They said the hiring manager should’ve told me that, but she didn’t, I also went thru a hiring process AND have been working here for 3 weeks already and yet this is the first time I’m hearing of it.
