I'm an assistant manager in a restaurant so I already know we need to put a request in atleast 2 weeks in advance. I placed this request date at the end of March and it was approved for my date for July 5th since I now as well we can't request holidays as they are mandatory as we are open all year. Now 2 days ago we got an email stating there is a mandatory management meeting scheduled for that day and non attendance without medical cause will result in disciplinary action. My problem is we are going to visit my husbands family in Mexico and them and ourselves have already spent money on the planning of this trip. I'm also worried about challenging this as I'm going through a workers comp situation at the moment since I was electrocuted at work last Wednesday and got to a take fun ride in an ambulance to the worst hospital ever so I'm worried that they may just be looking forward r an excuse to fire me
