Solidarity, friends. This is an announcement for a general strike for May 1st to last indefinitely until key goals are met.
- Universal Healthcare.
- An end to corporate owned housing (Seized then socialized).
- Nationalization of energy production and related green house gas emitting resource gathering.
Why wait until May? Besides the historic significance of May 1st we will need time to plan. We will need to organize mutual aid, housing, and food cooperatives. This will not be a small undertaking and we must be prepared for an attempt to be starved out.
If we do not stand up in this time climate catastrophe will only get worse. The grinding status quo of late-stage-capitalism will continue. Eventually we will be left in a fascist state. Medical care, housing, and a safe habitable planet are all human rights and we must demand them because our leaders are not providing them for us. We, the workers, create the value. We have to show them what happens when our labor is withheld.
