Might finally be getting some appreciation.

So a while ago I made a post about being “promoted” to a harder position without receiving more pay. I like the work, but it is certainly much more work. After all but singlehandedly fixing my department (and by extension a lot of other areas) I sat down with one of my managers and asked about a raise. He's not the GM but his word is taken seriously, and for a manager, is super receptive to listening and advocating for his employees. We compared my position to what other companies pay for similar work. He said he's gonna try to get me anywhere between a $4-$5 dollar raise. That is really significant for me. That's a “I can make a mistake or two or suffer an emergency without worrying if my bills can get paid afterwards” type of raise. Just thought it might be nice to share one of the…
