Millennials and Gen Z were the first generations to experience the world of the Internet as kids. They are also the first generations to work with technology to make us more “efficient.”
These generations are experiencing a form of work and pressure to deliver like never before. Constantly looking at screens, answering emails out side of work hours, expected to be “on” and mentally agile for hours on end.
At some point these generations will burn out, not physically, but mentally. Human brains are not meant to look at laptops and screens for so many hours and when the burnout hits in 5-10 years time, mass amounts of individuals will create chaos in choosing the inefficient “anti-work” in a world built around efficiency.
