Has anyone here been to a military DFAC? They're essentially generic non-name-branded restaurants that sells a hella low prices because they need to be affordable to a class of guys who depending on rank, cost of living, and whether or not they recently damaged government property, may be getting payed below poverty levels. Let me make it clear how cheap a DFAC is. You can get a full meal with 2-3 sides, a build your own salad with a range of options, a desert, and 2 drinks…. for less than $10(all taxes, fees, etc. included you aren't ever expected to tip) and at the same quality as your local Ruby Tuesdays.

Think about that. DFACs are not non-profits, they Can ask for manning from military services if theirs is low or they want to cut cost, but many of them are full civilian staffed and pay for workers at a living wage($15.90 is the lowest starting wage).

Now think about how much you pay for your local sit-down restaurant. It's usually $20-$35 dollars by the final check right? That means roughly 1/2 to 2/3+ of the money you spend is going to Profits that are going to be hoarded by some CEOs bonus and Stock-Holder dividends.

It isn't just restaurants either, if you look into most consumer goods you'll see a similar pattern. This is why 2/3+ of the nations wealth is owned by less than 10% of Americans, because 2/3 of the price every product we spend money on to survive is a Profit Margin.
