Title says it all. A new restaurant opened up in town. They posted in the local towns Facebook group that they were hiring and I thought I had a good chance because this is their first and ONLY restaurant and they were looking for cashier and food prep
Few reasons I thought it would be easy to get the job
- I showed them the pictures I can take and edit so I can take pictures to help their social media posts because what the been posting is on a really old phone they use. Not part of the job description, but they did say that's what got their attention, and they like to boost their social media views
- I have (Experience) in cashier and restaurant
- (I'm Bilingual) BOTH of the interviewers said they answer calls with a Spanish speaker and neither of them spoke Spanish so they lose out on a customer and the restaurant name has a Spanish name too so it probably attracts Spanish speakers. I let them know I'm bilingual
- It's local. I don't have to compete with 60+ people on the internet for one position
I just saw they posted and sent me an email too that they are hiring 2 weeks later. I don't understand.
