Hey all, so I have been using a physical mouse mover that just moves the mouse around at a WFH job I've been at for a decent amount of time. They never have enough work for me to do, and at first my boss said that the tracking software they use made it obvious when I ran out of work but don't worry about it because I was turning everything in.
Eventually he left and id forgotten about that, but another person emailed me within a month about it looking like I wasn't doing much and I simply told him what things I had turned in those days and hadn't heard from him since so I figured I was good.
It's been several months now but someone new has emailed me asking what I'm doing during this time, however they cc'd a few higher-ups. I responded with a reply but haven't heard back. Usually I wouldnt care, I do all of my work and I'm at a point where I'm waiting for work to be assigned to me. I'm very responsive actively monitoring all forms of communication and I am as far as the job goes performing well, but cc'ing the higher-ups seems concerning to me.
I'm not sure if I should change my pattern to make it look like I'm working more, or if that would rise more suspicion and if I should keep going keeping it the same and hope I never hear again.
Any advice?
