My 16 year old niece crashed her car after a 16 hour shift.

I don't know much about work, but I know this is fucked. My 16 neice (year older than me) is working in some field that has to do with CNA's. She needs experience since it's what she plans her career to be. Anyway, the company she has been working for has been absolutely overloading her with hours. She has little time between basically raising her siblings, doing chores, trying to make time to see both of her divorced parents, and work all the time. She has barely been able to enjoy her summer. When she wants to visit her father (my sisters husband), she has to leave at four A.M. the next day. Not to mention the job will make her do difficult jobs alone, when she is not qualified for that. Like it's literally a rule that she can't be alone in that area, but they allow it anyway.…

So here's what happened. She has little control over her house, and before she knew it, she was forced to work a SIXTEEN HOUR SHIFT. That is insane. And probably illegal, she is a minor. Obviously she is exhausted afterwards, but still has to drive herself home. Big shocker, she falls asleep at the wheel and crashes into a tree. She is okay, nothing's is broken, but her car is absolutely totaled. She knows she needs to find a new job, but the pay is good. But with her randomized hours, she would make more money with consistent hours. Plus it wouldn't be such a danger. This is so fucked up !! She could've died !!

(note: idk what a cna is. I'm not familiar with much work terms.)
