I’m supposed to be starting a new job in two weeks contingent on my background check. Originally my background check was supposed to be ready this Friday but now it’s extended another week! I have zero concerns related to my background so I don’t understand what the issue is. I reached out to the recruiter this morning and am waiting a response.
Anyway, my current job is trash. I’ve made so many posts about them in the past. They’ve screwed me over in the past due to THEIR financial problems. (Past as in like 4 months ago). They said everything was better, cool, great. Yesterday I find out they’re back in financial problems but worse and they gave me a “to do” list that’s 10 pages long.
I’ve had this new job lined up for the last couple of weeks, I’ve signed all the paperwork but I can’t put in my notice until the contingencies are cleared which is taking FOREVER.
It’s likely I’m going to end up having to give a one week notice instead of a two week so I’m trying to prepare so that I don’t look like a total ahole when I quit but now I have all this other stuff they want me to do urgently.
What do I do! How do I get around their checklists without saying “ya im actually putting in my notice soon so no thanks” without actually saying that
