I work at a major university in Mass and I set up events for the university. I come back from Vacation to findout that a event I set up had issues. Without going into too much detail a team lead got yelled at because someone failed to read the email I sent and a bus driver was misinformed and yelled at the team lead because they were inconvenienced. Apparently it's my fault that the bus driver who works for a third party and was set up by someone else is my fault. To make things even more fun, I was told an email I sent before my vacation asking if they were still coming due to the bussing issues was apparently poorly worded. “Will you be cancelling your tour next week, I’ll be out Monday-Wednesday so I just wanted to ensure I understood what would be happening.” Was too confusing and me doing my due diligence before I go on vacation was a bad.
Like I said, I spoke with my union rep, President, and VP, they all confirmed that she didn't follow the process, she didn't do her job, she has created a extremely awkward situation since she can't fire me. So now I'm in this super awkward situation which just fuels me to look for a new job since I'm being pushed out of this one. Honestly, I look forward to the union and HR letting her know she can't do what she did.
