My boss loves to give me tasks so that I can “grow” and “stretch” and further my career path, but I think he cares about my “career” more than I do. I don’t want to move up, I like the level I’m at. Don’t get me wrong, I love to learn and get better, but I don’t feel the need to expand, I’d rather just get better at what I already do. I’m just tired of everything being about growth and upward movement. Just let me be happy where I am, I have no desire to move up into management or whatever.
