I asked my boss a week ago to allow me to leave at 4pm on Friday (family issues) and she agreed. Today she said it’s no longer possible.
Context
For the past week and a half I have been forced to take my lunch pause later than originally scheduled due to one of our coworkers being sick and the other two being bitches about it (the two bitches and I all have the same scheduled lunch time, but they vehemently refused to change their hours OR divide the modification equally between us 3, so my boss “convinced” me to take one for the team). In exchange I spoke to her and asked her to let me leave early on Friday since I’ve had some family issues for the past 4 weeks and I needed time to travel and see what happened. She agreed.
Yesterday one of the bitches had a disagreement with me because I asked her to do her job (she had spent 4 hours eating and laughing loudly. We had people queued).
Well, that was enough for her to talk to my boss and convince her to not allow me to leave early.
I really need to travel to see my family and I cannot do it if my boss doesn’t approve it (as per company policy). The only way out would be to get a doctors note. We have a doctor working for our company and they are the only ones who can prescribe sick days (I cannot just call in sick)
I guess I need advice on how to make myself sick. I was thinking about drinking an entire bottle of laxatives so when the doctor examines me the physical signs will be present.
Does anybody have any other less painful suggestions?
