I’m the manager of a paintball site. A nice place to work other than the owner.
He’s a racist, homophobic, sexist, antisemitic, intolerant, family slave owning, rich mummy’s boy, somehow related to the royal family entitled piece of shit. To summarise anyway.
We’ve all had our moments with him. He’s threatened to stab me through the eye whilst holding a screwdriver to my face, gave a young girl a panic attack, stolen people’s wages by demoting and promoting when needed, forcing staff into a pension scheme. Threatening to fire us if we don’t break health and safety laws. List goes on. He has multiple lawsuits against him from staff and customers constantly.
Well I’ve recently become the manager of one of his sites, and ended up filming him threatening to slice the artery of one of our staff with the knife in his pocket, which he proudly showed all of us saying he uses it for out of line staff(knife was not filmed). When called out for threatening staff again, he followed with this in not a threat, it’s a promise (which I do have the threat and follow up on camera).
Guys please tell me what I’m meant to do. He’s the owner AND managing director. I have no direct superior I can go to with this.
Briefly looking it up it’s apparently my responsibility, as the victims direct superior, to deal with this. I have no idea how I’m supposed to handle this.
Please can I have some honest legal or experienced advice. Cheers.
