I just quit one of my jobs since our boss wasn’t paying us on time (she could go weeks without paying us, or would try to use cash because she ‘forgot’ to get the checks) along with numerous other management issues. As a result, the majority of the staff quit. My ex-boss still has a check I’m owed, but when I asked the general manager to mail it to me he said my boss “didn’t want to”. Is that legal to do?? For reference I’m from Massachusetts. Thank you for your help!!
