We were SUPPOSED to get a bigger bonus if we beat our goal for Q4 by 6% which of course didn’t happen no matter how hard we tried. Doesn’t make sense to me how the stores profit is all on us and if we don’t bonus then it’s our fault.
Manager said last week “There’s a little something for all of you in the safe for your Christmas bonus!” When I pulled out a $5 Claire’s gift card I was thrilled to say the least. Who wouldn’t want little girls jewelry instead of cash?! Should be illegal to give employees a bonus that ends up just going back to the company anyway.
I’m interested to hear of other terrible Christmas “bonuses” people have gotten. Do companies even do a proper Christmas bonus anymore or is that a thing of the past?
