My job complained that I didn’t work my 9 months at my job to apply for a position I was a perfect fit for, but I completed it and my job is still giving me a hard time about internal transferring to a new position. 1st new position I applied to: “you can’t apply because your metrics are okay, but not great.” – even though they are counting metrics from January to April (which was training so of course I made a few mistakes). 2nd new position I applied to: “I’m not sure if they will take you because they are looking for someone with experience.” The 2nd position was the same stuff I did 2 years ago at my old job – literally word from word. The 3rd position I applied to: “Well I don’t know if you would like it, it’s the same as this one, but more responsibility.”
No matter what I apply to they seem to have some sad excuse as to why they can’t or I shouldn’t apply for a new position.
